About Us
Big Axe Brewery Inc. was established in 2013 and is well-known for high-quality beer, carefully brewed to style with meticulous attention to detail.
We use various strains of yeast, specialty malts, and only the finest ingredients, combined with pure, untreated water from our very own well. The result is fresh, consistent brews we’re proud to share.
Located in the scenic community of Nackawic, New Brunswick, our name comes from the iconic landmark, The World’s Largest Axe.

The brewery itself has a rustic, open-concept saloon-style vibe, located along the beautiful Saint John River—only 3 minutes off the Trans-Canada Highway. As soon as you step foot into our establishment, you'll be greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With exposed wooden beams, warm lighting, and a welcoming decor, our brewery exudes a sense of comfort and relaxation.

Come see for yourself—whether by trail, water, or highway, the Big Axe family is always ready to welcome you. We’re accessible by ATV, snowmobile, horseback, or even boat thanks to our private dock. Travellers are welcomed to stay with friendly folks at nearby bed and breakfasts, motels, and prime camping grounds. We also offer camping on site by reservation only.
